Once a year CUMC does a great big school supply and backpack giveaway to any student in the surrounding area that needs it. It is our hope that every student in our area will have the tools to succeed at school and life.  This year's event will be in early August. Financial donations and backpack donations are being accepted now.

Sunday school teachers and helpers are a very important part of our children's ministry. Sunday school teachers and helpers prepare lessons from curriculum and either lead or assist on Sunday mornings. What makes Sunday school teachers so important is their presence in the lives of our kids. All kids need adults (other than their parents) that know their name, love them and care for their spiritual and personal development.

Our Praise Band is a collective of musicians that lead our contemporary or casual worship service.  Musicians and singers are always welcome to join.

Our Sanctuary Choir rehearses and performs weekly throughout the school year and on the third Sundays of the month throughout the summer. Rehearsals are on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary. All those that love to sing are welcome to join!

Our team of ushers helps our worship service to  flow smoothly each Sunday. From helping to make sure everything is turned on, welcoming and ready, to collecting the offering and guiding folks forward for communion, to directing acolytes and ringing the bell. This team cares for our community by tending to so many details in a loving way.

Coffee and a breakfast treat helps Chatham UMC be a casual, comfortable and engaging place to not only worship but to visit with friends.
